The Florida Gators and the Kentucky Wildcats meet Saturday in college basketball action from Rupp Arena.

Florida enters this one at 12-6 so far. The Gators are 2-2 in their last four games and coming off a win over Auburn. As for Kentucky, they’re 8-13 this year. The Wildcats are 3-0 in their last three and coming off a win over Tennessee. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Florida kicked off their season on a 6-4 run over their first 10 games. After a four-game win streak the Gators took consecutive losses to South Carolina and Arkansas. Since then Florida has posted consecutive wins over Georgia and Auburn.

In the 74-57 win over Auburn on Tuesday, Florida’s Tre Mann led the way on 19 points with 13 rebounds and three assists. Scottie Lewis added 16 points, and Tyree Appleby chipped in 11 points with four rebounds and two assists.

Over on the Kentucky side, they’ve had some inconsistent stretches this year, with one six-game losing streak and a 1-7 run later in the year. The Wildcats have won three straight games, however. Those victories have come versus Auburn, Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

In the 70-55 win over Tennessee last weekend, Kentucky’s Isaiah Jackson put up 16 points with seven rebounds. Davion Mintz added 15 points with four boards and two assists, and Keion Brooks had 14 rebounds, 10 points and two assists.

The Wildcats are 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven overall. The over is 5-1 in Kentucky’s last six overall and 6-0 in the last six home games.

Meanwhile, the Gators are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 Saturday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six as a road favorite. The over is 7-2 in Florida’s last nine road games and the under is 4-0 in their last four overall.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Kentucky here. Tennessee has notched some nice points totals lately, with 70 or more points in six of their last eight. Kentucky has been scoring well themselves, and the Wildcats notched a 76-58 win over Florida the last time these teams met up back on January 9. This should be a fun matchup, and I think Kentucky can keep the pace.
