The Houston Baptist Huskies and the McNeese Cowboys meet in college basketball action from the Burton Coliseum on Saturday night.

The Houston Baptist Huskies will try to rebound from an 83-68 loss to Nicholls State last time out. Pablo Castro leads the Huskies in scoring and rebounding with 14 PPG and 7.1 RPG while Za’Ontay Boothman has 11  PPG to cap off the duo of double-digit scorers for HBU up to this point. As a team, Houston Baptist is averaging 72.3 PPG on 43.9% shooting from the field and 35.6% from the 3-point line while allowing 81.5 PPG on 46.7% shooting from the field and 35.3% from 3-point range this season.

The McNeese Cowboys will be looking to build on a 95-91 win over Southeastern Louisiana. Keyshawn Feazell is averaging 14.2 PPG with 10.5 RPG to lead MCNeese in scoring and rebounding while Dru Kuxhausen has 12.2 PG and AJ Lawson has 12.1 PPG with 5.5 RPG and a team-high 5.5 APG to lead McNeese in assists. Carlos Rosario has 11.5 PPG with 5.3 RPG as well to cap off McNeese’s group of double-digit scorers up to this point in the year. As a team, McNeese is averaging 82.8 PPG on 50% shooting from the field and 39.3% from 3-point range while allowing 72.7 PPG on 45.7% shooting from the field and 37.3% from 3-point land this season.

Houston Baptist is 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 Saturday games. MCNeese is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. The favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

The Cowboys have a great offense, especially at home. However, the Cowboys have played three lined games at home out of nine total played at home this season and I could see that lack of competition coming back to bite the Cowboys here. Houston can score in bunched as well and I just don’t know what defense to expect from either one. Give me the over here as I expect this one to go over by at least 15-20 points.
