Army vs Boston University College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/27/21

The Boston University Terriers and the Army Black Knights meet Saturday in college basketball action from Christl Arena. 

The Terriers enter this one at 5-9 so far. Boston U has lost their last three games to Colgate and Holy Cross. As for Army, they’re 10-7 this year. Boston U hasn’t had a big variety of opponents this year, and they keep losing to the same teams. The Terriers’ wins have come over Lafayette and Holy Cross; otherwise they’ve lost to Holy Cross, Colgate and Army, multiple times each. 

In the 86-75 loss to Holy Cross on Wednesday, Boston U’s Javante McCoy led the way on 22 points with four rebounds and one assist. Walter Whyte added 14 points with eight rebounds in 29 minutes on the floor as well. 

Over on the Army side, They started out the year with a 3-0 record but haven’t been able to win more than two consecutive games since then. In the last four games the Black Knights are 1-3. In that stretch they’ve got a win over Holy Cross with losses to Colgate and Holy Cross. 

In the 67-51 loss to Holy Cross on Sunday, Army’s only double-digit scorer was Lonnie Grayson, who put up 14 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Both Alex King and Josh Caldwell chipped in nine points apiece for the Knights in that one. 

The Knights are 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games. The over is 11-4 in Army’s last 15 Saturday gams and they’re 1-4 ATS in their last five as a home underdog. 

Meanwhile, the Terriers are 5-1 ATS in their last six as a road underdog and 1-4 ATS in their last five as a road favorite. Boston U is 6-15 ATS in their last 21 overall and the over is 5-2 in their last seven road games. 

PICK: I’m sticking with Army. The last time these teams met up, the Knights bagged a pair of wins 79-59 and 76-65. Army has posted a couple of scoring duds in their last pair of games, notching 51 points in their last outing. The Black Knights should be in control if they play to their capabilities here though, so I still like them better on a cover.
