The UMass-Lowell River Hawks and the New Hampshire Wildcats meet in college basketball action from the Lundholm Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon as part of the America East Conference tournament.

The UMass-Lowell River Hawks come into this one on the heels of a 64-62 first round win over Stony Brook last time out  Obadiah Noel leads the River Hawks in scoring with 18.8 PPG and 3.3 APG in the regular season while Connor Withers has 10.6 PPG and 6 RPG as well this season. Bryce Daley has 7.4 PPG and 3.7 APG as well for the River Hawks this season. As a team, UMass-Loesll is averaging 68.9 PPG on 45.5% shooting from the field, 34.8% from 3-point range and 66.1% from the foul line while allowing 71 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field and 31.6% from 3-point land this season.

The New Hampshire Wildcats had the benefit of the first round by with their last matchup ending as an 89-87 win over these same River Hawks last time out. Nick Guadarrama has a team-high 13.9 PPG and 6.9 RPG while Jayden Martinez has 13.6 PPG with a team-high 8.5 RPG to make up the pair of double-digit scorers for UNH up to this point in the season as the Wildcats’ top rebounder. Qon Murphy has 9.2 PPG and Blondeau Tchoukulengo has 8 PPG and a team-high 3.2 APG as well in the year. As a team, New Hew Hampshire is averaging 67.4 PPG on 40.5% shooting from the field and 32.1% from 3-point range while allowing 66.3 PPG on 42.3% shooting from the field and 33.9% from three this season.

UMass-Lowell is 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a win and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. New Hampshire is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 home games. The underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

It’s hard to really say what’s going to happen here as UMass-Lowell might actually have a bit of an advantage with home many back-to-backs have been played this season, so having a game to get into rhythm may actually serve UMass-Lowell well here. However, the two sides were highly competitive in the regular season and both were able to put their fair share of points on the board, so I’ll take my shot on the over in this matchup.
