The Iowa Hawkeyes and the Ohio State Buckeyes meet Sunday in college basketball action from Value City Arena.

The Hawkeyes enter this one at 17-7 so far. Iowa is 4-1 in their last five games and coming off a loss to Michigan. As for the Buckeyes, they’re 18-6 this year. Ohio State has lost consecutive games to Michigan and Michigan State. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Iowa started out the year on a nice run at 12-2 through their first 14 games, but then hit a 1-4 stretch with losses to Indiana, Illinois, Ohio State and Indiana again. The Hawkeyes righted the ship with four straight wins after that, but fell to Michigan on Thursday in their last game.

In the 79-57 loss to Michigan, Iowa’s Luka Garza put up 16 points with four rebounds and one assist. Jordan Bohannon added 13 points with two rebounds, and Joe Wieskamp had 11 points with five rebounds.

Over on the Ohio State side, they’ve stayed pretty consistent this year outside of a 3-3 stretch in December and January. After that run the Buckeyes rattled off wins in 10 of their next 11 games, but it’s been consecutive losses to Michigan and Michigan State since then.

In the 71-67 loss to Michigan State on Thursday, Ohio State’s EJ Liddell led the team on 18 points with eight rebounds and two assists. Duane Washington added 17 points with two boards and two assists, and CJ Walker had 12 points with five assists.

The Buckeyes are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six Sunday games. Ohio State is 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and the under is 4-1-1 in their last six overall.

Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. Iowa is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 after an ATS loss and the under is 5-0 in their last five road games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Iowa here. The Hawkeyes hit a wall against a great Michigan team in their last outing, but prior to that Iowa had been scoring well with 74 or more points in four straight games. Ohio State has given up 71 or more in each of their last three, so this should be another high-scoring matchup between this pair of teams. I’d expect a similar result to the 89-85 affair from February 4. Should be a great game; don’t miss this one.
