The Oklahoma State Cowboys punched their ticket to the semis by virtue of a 72-69 win over West Virginia in their last matchup. Cade Cunningham and Avery Anderson III each had 17 points with Cunningham shooting 6 of 15 with a pair of threes, 8 rebounds, a team-high 4 assists and a pair of steals while Anderson III had 3 assists with a pair of steals and a pair of threes, shooting 6 of 13 from the field. Bryce Williams and Isaac Likekele each have 10 points with Williams shooting 4 of 8 from the field with a pair of threes and 3 assists while Likekele added 7 rebounds and 3 assists to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Oklahoma State in the winning effort. Kalib Boone added 6 points with team-highs of 10 rebounds and 6 blocks as well in the winning effort for the Cowboys.

The Baylor Bears reached the semis thanks to a 74-68 win over Kansas State last time out. MaCio Teague led the Bears in scoring with 24 points on 10 of 15 shooting with a pair of threes while Davion Mitchell was right behind with 23 points on 7 of 13 shooting with 4 threes and 3 steals. Jared Butler had 18 points on 6 of 12 shooting with a pair of threes, 4 assists and a pair of steals to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Baylor in the winning effort. Mark Vital added team-highs of 10 rebounds and 6 assists as well in the winning effort for the Bears.

Oklahoma State is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 21-6-2 in their last 29 games following a win. Baylor is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games and 23-10 ATS in their last 33 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 10-1 in their last 11 games overall. The underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

Baylor being favored here makes sense, but realistically, the Bears haven’t looked good in the majority of their games since coming back from their COVID stoppage last month, and while you could say maybe the Kansas State game was a look-ahead, the bottom line is that Baylor narrowly got by in a game that they should’ve won by at least 20 points. Even as the 2nd best team in the country, stuff like that won’t fly against an Oklahoma State team that’s getting better from game-to-game and I think the Cowboys have a legitimate chance to win this game outright, but I’ll take the points with Oklahoma State to be safe.
