The Tulane Green Wave and the Houston Cougars meet Friday in college basketball action from Dickies Arena.

Coming into this AAC Tournament matchup, Tulane is 10-12 so far. The Wave took care of Tulsa in the conference tournament on Thursday. As for Houston, they’re 21-3 this year. The Cougars have won four straight, most recently over Memphis. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Tulane has had quite a choppy season so far. The Wave started out at 4-0, but haven’t been able to win consecutive games since then. After a four-game losing streak, Tulane managed a nice seven-point win over Tulsa on Thursday in the tournament.

In the 77-70 tournament win over Tulsa on Thursday, Tulane fell behind 41-37 at the half but battled back with 40 points from there to move on. Topping the team was Jordan Walker with 24 points, two rebounds and seven assists.

Over on the Houston side, there hasn’t been a whole lot to complain about this year. The Cougars have sustained success well so far, and haven’t lost consecutive games. Over the last four, Houston has taken out Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, South Florida and Memphis.

In the 67-64 win over Memphis on Sunday, Houston’s Dejon Jarreau led the way on 19 points with eight rebounds and three assists. Quentin Grimes added 17 points and eight boards, and Justin Gorham doubled up on 10 points with 12 rebounds and two assists.

Houston is 1-4 ATS in their last five Friday games and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 overall. The Cougars are 4-0 ATS in their last four neutral-site games and the over is 5-2 in their last seven overall.

Meanwhile, the Wave are 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS win. The under is 6-2 in their last eight Friday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five overall.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Houston here. The last time these teams met up back on January 28, the Cougars secured a dominant 83-60 win. Houston has been scoring well regularly this year (outside of a couple duds), and they’ve hit 81 or more in three of their last four outings. Tulane posted a plucky win on Thursday, but this should be the Cougars’ cover to take if they play to their capabilities.
