The North Carolina A&T Aggies and the South Florida Bulls meet Monday in college basketball action from Yuengling Center. North Carolina A&T is coming off a matchup versus Jacksonville. In that one the Aggies lost by nine points. As for USF, they played Georgia Southern in their last outing. The Bulls ended up losing by 12 points there. North Carolina A&T took a loss in their first game against UNC-Greensboro 57-53. The Aggies had a 31-28 halftime lead but lost it from there. The team’s leading scorers were Marcus Watson and Tyler Maye, each with 17 points and a combined 12 rebounds.

In the Saturday game versus Jacksonville, NC A&T took a 24-21 deficit into the break on the way to a 63-54 loss. Kameron Langley and David Beatty were the team’s top scorers with 12 points apiece alongside a combined eight rebounds and five assists.

Over on the USF side, they scored 46 points in the second half of their opener versus Bethune-Cookman, surging to a 75-54 win. The game was tied at 29 going into halftime. Leading scorer Russel Tchewa finished on 16 points with four boards and one assist.

Against Georgia Southern, the Bulls got off to a slow start and things got even worse after halftime. USF scored just 16 points after the break on the way to a 53-41 loss. DJ Patrick was the only double-digit scorer on the team with 18 points and one rebound.

USF is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games and 6-0 ATS in their last six Monday games. The under is 5-1 in the Bulls’ last six home games.

Meanwhile, the Aggies are 8-1 ATS in their last nine Monday games and the under is 8-1 in their last nine overall. The under is 5-1 in NC A&T’s last six on the road.

PICK: I’m going to try USF here. Neither team looks all that trustworthy right now, though. The Bulls shot just 26.3 percent from the floor in their last game with 7-of-31 from 3-point range and 14 turnovers. It was a sloppy game on both sides but South Florida looked worse.

As for the Aggies, they shot 38.2 percent versus Jacksonville with 33 rebounds, 22 fouls and 17 turnovers. I like both teams to get it together and play better in this one, but USF makes more sense on the cover.
