The Indiana State Sycamores and the New Mexico State Aggies meet in college basketball action from the HTC Center on Sunday night.

The Indiana State Sycamores will be looking to rebound from an 87-63 loss to Oklahoma in their last game. Cameron Henry leads Indiana State in scoring and rebounding with 17 PPG and 7 RPG with 3.8 APG as well to lead the Sycamores in assists while Cooper Neese has 15.5 PPG with 5.2 RPG and Micah Thomas has 12.5 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Indiana State so far this year. Xavier Bledson also has 9 PPG with 4.3 RPG and Kailex Stephens has 8.6 PPG with 5.8 RPG as well this season. As a team, Indiana State is averaging 75.6 PPG on 48.1% shooting from the field, 33.6% from three and 69.3% from the foul line while allowing 68.2 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field and 34% from three this season.

The New Mexico State Aggies will try to bounce back from an 85-58 loss to Utah State last time out. Teddy Allen leads the Aggies in scoring with 16.3 PPG along with 5.5 RPG while Sir’Jabari Rice has 12.8 PPG with a team-high 2.5 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for New Mexico State so far this season. Donnie Tillman also has 9 PPG with 4.5 RPG and Johnny McCants has 5 RPG as well. As a team, New Mexico State is averaging 68 PPG on 43.1% shooting from the field, 36.9% from three and 71.2% from the foul line while allowing 67.8 PPG on 41.6% shooting from the field and 33.7% from three this season.

Indiana State is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a double-digit home loss and 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall while the under is 16-5 in their last 21 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. New Mexico State is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Sunday games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 neutral site games.

This is an interesting matchup between two teams that have stepped up to some decent competition this season and had a tough loss in their respective last outings. However, this feels like a ton of points to be giving up when both teams have played the similar level of opposition this season for the most part and the statistical numbers are pretty much the same across the board. I’ll take my chances with the Aggies and the points in this one.
