The Gonzaga Bulldogs and the UCLA Bruins meet Tuesday in college basketball action from T-Mobile Arena. Gonzaga is coming off a Monday matchup against Central Michigan. In that game the Bulldogs cruised to a blowout win. As for UCLA, they played Bellarmine in their last game. The Bruins ended up winning by 13 points there. Gonzaga rolled through their first four games to a perfect start, and didn’t have too many issues in any of them. The Bulldogs took out Dixie State 97-63, then Texas 86-74, Alcorn State 84-57 and finally Bellarmine 92-50.

In Monday’s game against Central Michigan, the Bulldogs scored 56 points in the first half on the way to a 107-54 blowout victory. Chet Holmgren led the way with 19 points, four rebounds and two assists. Nolan Hickman added 16 points as well.

Over on the UCLA side, they rolled through their first four games this year pretty easily as well. The Bruins beat CSU Bakersfield 95-58, then Villanova 86-77, Long Beach State 100-79 then North Florida 98-63 to start at 4-0.

UCLA played Bellarmine on Monday evening. In that matchup the Bruins took a 36-25 lead into halftime on the way to a 75-62 win. Leading scorer Peyton Watson put up 19 points, while Myles Johnson had 11 rebounds and nine points of his own.

UCLA is 4-0 ATS in the last four Tuesday games and 9-1 ATS in the last 10 overall. The Bruins are 7-1 ATS in their last eight versus a team with a winning straight-up record.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 neutral-site games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 neutral-site games as a favorite. Gonzaga is 17-8 ATS in their last 25 Tuesday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Gonzaga. As expected, the Bulldogs didn’t have any issues with Central Michigan on Monday. Gonzaga shot 56.8 percent from the field and out-rebounded the Chippewas 53-26 in a dominant effort. If there were down notes, they were the Bulldogs 3-point shooting (28.1 percent) and free throw percentage (58.3) but otherwise there’s not much to complain about.

As for UCLA, they had things in cruise control for most of the game versus Bellarmine. The Bruins shot 45.2 percent from the floor with 43 rebounds and 23 assists but made just one of six free throws. I like UCLA to be highly competitive here in a fun game to watch. Should be a great matchup.
