Washington lost to Northern Illinois 71-64 in their opener this year, but then bounced back with two wins over Northern Arizona and Texas Southern. The Huskies lost another one to Wyoming, then took out George mason 77-74 in game five.

In the Tuesday matchup versus San Diego State, the Huskies pulled out to a 42-32 halftime lead during an eventual 87-76 win. Terrell Brown led the way for Washington on 32 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Over on the Nevada side, they managed a win over Eastern Washington 91-76 in their first game of the year. The Wolf Pack hit the skids after that though, falling to San Diego, Santa Clara, San Francisco and South Dakota State.

On Tuesday in the George Mason game, Nevada managed a 36-31 lead at the break and scored 52 points from there in an 88-69 win. Grant Sherfield led the team on 31 points, six rebounds and six assists.

The Wolf Pack are 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six neutral-site games. The over is 8-2 in Nevada’s last 10 overall.

Meanwhile, the Huskies are 2-6 ATS in the last eight neutral-site games and the over is 6-2 in their last eight Wednesday games. The under is 17-8 in the Huskies’ last 25 as a favorite of 0.5-6.5.

PICK: I’m going to try Nevada here. The Wolf Pack are coming off a nice outing against George Mason, with 52.6 percent shooting from the field, 17 assists and a nifty 18-of-19 made from the line. Nevada got out-hustled on the boards 34-26, though.

As for Washington, they shot an excellent 58.3 percent from the floor against South Dakota State and kept the offense churning the whole time. This should be a competitive matchup and it’ll be interesting to see what happens.
