Georgetown had a rough matchup against Dartmouth in their opener. The Hoyas scored just 21 points in the first half on the way to a 69-60 loss. In game two Georgetown was able to bounce back, taking out American 79-57.

In game three versus Siena, the Hoyas kept it going with another win. Georgetown posted a 44-34 halftime edge, and kept it up from there in an 83-65 win. Kaiden Rice was the lead scorer on 23 points with four rebounds.

Over on the San Diego State side, they posted a 66-53 win over UC Riverside in their opener, but lost game two to BYU 66-60. The Aztecs were able to get back into the win column against Arizona State, taking it 65-63 in a thriller.

The Aztecs got another win 68-62 over Texas-Arlington in their last game. Both teams were tepid on offense in that game, but San Diego State stayed right in it the whole way. Matt Bradley posted a team-high 15 points with six boards and three assists.

The Aztecs are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 Thursday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss. San Diego State is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 overall.

Meanwhile, the Hoyas are 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five neutral-site games. Georgetown is 4-1 ATS in the last five after an ATS win.

PICK: I’m probably sticking with Georgetown here. The Hoyas had a good outing versus a winless Siena team in their last appearance, shooting a hot 57.1 percent from the field with 12-of-18 (66.7 percent) made from 3-point range. Georgetown was out-rebounded 35-29 but it hardly mattered.

As for the Aztecs, they’re coming off a defensive battle against Texas-Arlington; neither team shot well and there were a combined 30 turnovers. This matchup is probably going to be a higher-scoring affair, and in that capacity I like the Hoyas better on a cover.
