The Columbia Lions and the Boston College Eagles meet in college basketball action from the Silvio Conte Forum on Friday.

The Columbia Lions come into this game on the heels of a 79-72 loss against Lehigh last time out. Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa leads the Lions in scoring with 16 PPG as well as in assists with 4.6 APG while Liam Murphy has 13.2 PPG with a team-high 5.8 RPG and Ike Nweke has 11 PPG with 5 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Columbia up to this point in the year. Josh Odunowo also has 9.4 PPg and 4.8 RPG for the Lions this season. As a team, Columbia is averaging 75.6 PPG on 46% shooting from the field, 40.2% from three and 71.6% from the foul line while allowing 75.4 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field and 40.6% from three this season.

The Boston College Eagles will look to bounce back from a 3rd straight loss in the form of a 71-65 loss to Rhode Island last time out. DeMarr Langford Jr. leads the Eagles in scoring with 12.2 PPG along with 5.2 RPG while Jaeden Zackary has 11.7 PPG. Makai Ashton-Langord and T.J. Bickerstaff each have 11.2 PPG with Bickerstaff logging a team-high 6.3 RPG and Ashton-Langford leading the Eagles with 3.5 APG as well this season. As a team, Boston College is averaging 67.5 PPG on 44.9% shooting from the field, 38.1% from three and 70% from the foul line while allowing 62 PPG on 43.9% shooting from the field and 34.2% from three this season.

Columbia is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS win and 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 road games. Boston College is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games against a team with a losing road record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games against a team with a road winning percentage below .400 while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games following an ATS loss.

I get the case that could me made for the under here as Boston College has been really good on the defensive end for much of the season so far. However, Columbia, whether it’s by design or not, has played to four straight overs and I think that could be five here. The Eagles tend to shoot the ball fairly well and I think we get a game that comes in in the 140s at the very least.
