The UConn Huskies and the VCU Rams meet in college basketball action from Imperial Arena on Friday.

The UConn Huskies will be out to bounce back from a 64-60 loss at the hands of Michigan State last time out. Heading into the matchup with Michigan State, Adama Sanogo leads the Huskies in scoring with 18.6 PPG along with 6.2 RPG while R.J. Cole has 13.6 PPG with a team-high 4.8 APG and Tyrese Martin has 13.4 PPG with a team-high 6.8 RPG as well this season. Tyler Polley has 12.8 PPG and Jordan Hawkins has 10.7 PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for UConn so far this season. As a team, UConn is averaging 90.5 PPG on 47.6% shooting from the field, 39.7% from three and 76% from the foul line while allowing 63 PPG on 35.7% shooting from the field and 30.6% from three this season.

The VCU Rams will look to rebound from their 69-61 loss to Baylor last time out. Heading into the game against Syracuse on Wednesday, Williams Jr. leads the Rams with 10.6 PPG along with 4.6 RPG while Keshawn Curry has 9.6 PPG with Hason Ward adding 5.8 PPG with a team-high 6.2 RPG to lead the Rams on the glass and Marcus Tsohonis leads VCU in the assist department with 2.6 APG this season. As a team, VCU is averaging 55.2 PPG on 41.1% shooting from the field, 29.5% from three and 62.1% from the foul line while allowing 54.8 PPG on 33.3% shooting from the field and 22.7% from three this season.

I have to be honest, as much as I don’t trust VCU’s offense, this still seems like a line that’s too low from a total standpoint. I think if UConn hags around the 68-70 point range, VCU’s only relied on for just over 55 points and that is more than doable in my opinion. Give me the over here
