The Tulane Green Wave will travel to TD Arena to take on the Charleston Cougars this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Tulane Green Wave dropped their 2nd straight game and dropped to 2-4 on the season after being defeated by the Valparaiso Beacons, 68-64, this past Wednesday in the Nassau Championship. Tulane led by a 50-38 margin with just 12:34 left in the 2nd half, however, the Green Wave defense struggled down the stretch and Valparaiso was able to pull off the come from behind victory after finishing the final 2:44 of regulation on a 10-1 run. Tulane shot just 37.0% from the field & 26.3% from beyond the arc while allowing Valparaiso to shoot 45.3% from the field & 35.3% from beyond the arc. Tulane won the turnover battle by a 16-10 margin, however, was outrebounded by the Beacons by a 34-32 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Green Wave was Kevin Cross who had 18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, & 2 steals.

On the season, Tulane is averaging 69.2 ppg on 41.7% shooting from the field. The Green Wave are averaging 7.2 three-pointers per game on 33.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Tulane has been led by Jalen Cook (21.2 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.2 spg), Jaylen Forbes (14.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.2 spg), Kevin Cross (14.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.4 spg, 1.4 bpg), & Sion James (6.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.7 spg).

Defensively, Tulane is allowing their opponents to average 70.3 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field. The Green Wave have a rebound margin of -4.3 and a turnover margin of 4.0.

The Charleston Cougars snapped a 2-game losing streak and improved to 4-2 on the season after defeating the Chattanooga Mocs, 68-66, this past Saturday. Charleston trailed by a 34-25 margin at halftime, however, the Cougars were strong offensively in the 2nd half and was able to pick up a dramatic win after Dimitrius Underwood tipped in the game-winning basket as time expired. Charleston shot 44.6% from the field & 31.6% from beyond the arc while allowing Chattanooga to shoot 43.4% from the field & 35.0% from beyond the arc. Charleston was outrebounded by Charleston by a 35-30 margin, however, won the turnover battle by a 16-11 margin in the victory. Offensively, Charleston has been led by John Meeks (15.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.5 spg), Reyne Smith (13.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg), Brenden Tucker (10.3 ppg, 2.2 rpg), & Dimitrius Underwood (8.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 3.5 apg, 2.2 spg).

Defensively, Charleston is allowing their opponents to average 79.8 ppg on 46.3% shooting from the field. The Cougars have a rebound margin of 5.3 and a turnover margin of 1.7.

The Green Wave are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday games. The Cougars are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games & 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.

Tulane has struggled to start the season on both ends of the court as the Green Wave come into this game ranked just 236th in scoring offense, 264th in FG%, & 217th in scoring defense and I think their struggles are going to continue on the road against a Charleston team that is coming off an impressive road win against a very good Chattanooga team. Charleston has struggled defensively, however, the Cougars have a well-balanced offense that currently ranks t-43rd in scoring offense and as I think Charleston does enough to cover this small spread. Good Luck!
