The Boston University Terriers and the George Washington Colonials meet in college basketball action from the Charles E. Smith Center on Wednesday night.

The Boston University Terriers come into this game on the heels of a 61-60 win over Merrimack last time out. Javante McCoy leads Boston in scoring and assists with 17.3 PPG and 3 APG while Walter Whyte has 13.8 PPG with 6.4 RPG and Suhmail Mathon has 11.4 PPG with a team-high 8.9 RPG to lead the Terriers on the glass and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Boston U so far this season. As a team, Boston is averaging 69.9 PPG on 46.6% shooting from the field, 37.2% from three and 74.3% from the foul line while allowing 63.6 PPG on 43.4% shooting from the field and 30.7% from three this season.

The George Washington Colonials will try to bounce back from a 72-54 defeat at the hands of Missouri State in their last game. James Bishop leads the Colonials in scoring with 14.6 PPG while Joe Bamisile has 14 PPG and 6.4 RPG as well on the year. Brendan Adams has 10.5 PPG with 4.4 RPG and a team-high 2.1 APG and Ricky Lindo Jr. has 10 PPG and a team-high 7.4 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for GW so far this season. As a team, George Washington is averaging 63.3 PPG on 40.3% shooting from the field, 28.3% from three and 68.6% from the foul line while allowing 71.4 PPG on 41.9% shooting from the field and 27.9% from three this season.

Boston is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400. George Washington is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while the under is 7-0 in their last 7 games following a loss.

I understand the case that could be made both ways as Boston’s had the majority of the early season success while GW is the more name recognizable team in this one. However, I’m going to side with the under here as I look at this game and just see first to 65 wins if we even get there. I look for this to be a tough game but ultimately for the under to come in as a winner.
