The Memphis Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs meet in college basketball action from Stegeman Coliseum on Wednesday night.

The Memphis Tigers will look to rebound from a 78-59 loss at the hands of Iowa State last timeout. Emoni Bates leads the Tigers in scoring with 12.3 PPG while Jalen Duren has 11.3 PPG and 9.3 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Memphis up to this point in the season. DeAndre Williams also has 9.8 PPG with 5.2 RPG and Alex Lomax has a team-high 3 APG as well this season. As a team, Memphis is averaging 78.5 PPG on 47.7% shooting from the field, 36% from three and 66.7% from the foul line while allowing 65.2 PPG on 35.4% shooting from the field and 27.3% from three this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs will try to bounce back after a 68-65 loss to Wofford last time out. Braelen Bridges leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 12.9 PPG along with 5.7 RPG while Aaron Cook has 11.3 PPG with a team-high 7 APG and Jailyn Ingram’s got 10.6 PPG with a team-high 6.4 RPG to make up the threesome of double-digit scorers for Georgia up to this point in the year. As a team, Georgia is averaging 66 PPG on 44% shooting from the field, 30% from three and 65.4% from the foul line while allowing 69 PPG on 42.8% shooting from the field and 31% from three this season.

Memphis is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a loss and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games while the under is 12-3 in their last 15 games following an ATS loss. Georgia is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a loss.

I get the case to be made for a home dog in most spots, but the Georgia Bulldogs are back to looking like the doormat of the SEC, and we haven’t even got into conference play yet. Memphis on the other hand has had a couple of close calls, but putting the lineups side-by-side, I think it’s reasonably clear that Memphis is the better team and should have no issue winning this game by 15-20 at the least.
