The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles will travel to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena to take on the TCU Horned Frogs this Thursday night in College Basketball action.

Oral Roberts led by a 45-40 margin at halftime and was able to pull away late after taking a 79-75 lead with 1:41 left in regulation. Oral Roberts shot 47.3% from the field & 46.3% from beyond the arc while allowing Tulsa to shoot 47.7% from the field & 50.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Golden Eagles was Max Abmas who had 38 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, & 2 steals.

TCU was outstanding on the defensive end against Austin Peay and was able to pull away in the 2^nd half after a 17-4 run to start the 2^nd half gave the Horned Frogs a 51-30 lead with 13:58 left in regulation. TCU shot 39.7% from the field & 23.8% from beyond the arc while holding Austin Peay to just 35.8% from the field & 25.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Horned Frogs was Eddie Lampkin who had a double-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds, & 2 assits.

On the season, TCU is averaging 71.7 ppg on 42.1% shooting from the field. The Horned Frogs are averaging 5.7 three-pointers per game on 28.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Oral Roberts has struggled a bit more than we expected to start the season, however, there is no questioning that Max Abmas and the Golden Eagles offense can put up plenty of points as they come into this game ranked 9^th in scoring offense & 1^st in three-pointers made per game. TCU picked up a solid win over Austin Peay earlier this week, however, I’m still not that impressed by what I’ve seen by the Horned Frogs, despite their defense ranking 51^st in scoring defense. TCU hasn’t played much in terms of competition to start the season, outside their 21-point loss against Santa Clara, and as I think Oral Roberts will be able to do enough on the offensive end to keep this one competitive, I think the play here is to take Oral Roberts and the points.
