The Fairfield Stags and the Canisius Golden Griffins meet in college basketball action from the Koessler Athletic Center on Friday night.
The Fairfield Stags come into this game on the heels of a 75-70 loss at the hands of Loyola-Maryland last time out. TJ Long leads the Stags in scoring with 12.5 PPG while Jake Wojcik has 12.2 PPG with 3.7 RPG and Taj Benning has 11.8 PPG with 5 RPG and a team-high 3.3 APG as well this season. I get why Canisius would be favored at home, but realistically, I’m not passing up a free bucket with a Fairfield team that’s 3-0 ATS on the road this season. Sure, they won just one of those games but I still think this is pretty good Fairfield team that people need to watch out for in the MAAC this season. Give me the Stags and the free bucket here.
