The Buffalo Bulls will travel to the Reilly Center to take on the St. Bonaventure Bonnies this Saturday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Buffalo Bulls won their 2nd straight game and improved to 4-2 on the season after defeating the Point Park Pioneers, 94-49, this past Monday. Buffalo dominated Point Park on both ends of the court throughout the game and had no trouble securing the victory after going into halftime with a 52-24 lead. Buffalo shot 49.3% from the field & 32.3% from beyond the arc while holding Point Park to just 27.5% from the field & 26.1% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bulls was Josh Mballa who had a double-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, & 2 steals.

On the season, Buffalo is averaging 85.0 ppg on 48.1% shooting from the field. The Bulls are averaging 9.2 three-pointers per game on 36.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Buffalo has been led by Jeenathan Williams (18.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 3.0 apg), Josh Mballa (15.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.7 spg), Ronaldo Segu (15.5 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 5.3 apg), & Maceo Jack (11.2 ppg, 4.0 rpg).

Defensively, Buffalo is allowing their opponents to average 72.8 ppg on 41.1% shooting from the field. The Bulls have a rebound margin of 6.5 and a turnover margin of -2.3.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies improved to 6-1 on the season after defeating the Coppin State Eagles, 93-81, this past Wednesday. St. Bonaventure was outstanding offensively against Coppin State and was able to hold off the Eagles for the victory after taking a 74-61 lead with 7:36 left in regulation. St. Bonaventure shot 47.8% from the field & 40.9% from beyond the arc while allowing Coppin State to shoot 44.8% from the field & 32.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bonnies was Jaren Holmes who had a double-double with 24 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block, & 2 steals.

On the season, St. Bonaventure is averaging 74.6 ppg on 45.6% shooting from the field. The Bonnies are averaging 6.7 three-pointers per game on 33.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, St. Bonaventure has been led by Jaren Holmes (17.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.1 spg), Kyle Lofton (17.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 5.9 apg, 1.6 spg), Jalen Adaway (13.2 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.5 apg), & Dominick Welch (10.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.3 spg).

Defensively, St. Bonaventure is allowing their opponents to average 65.4 ppg on 38.8% shooting from the field. The Bonnies have a rebound margin of 1.9 and a turnover margin of 2.3.

The Bulls are 4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall & 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 road games. The Bonnies are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss & 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 home games.

Buffalo comes into this game ranked just 262nd in scoring defense, however, this is a Bulls team that knows how to score the basketball as the Bulls come into this game ranked t-14th in scoring offense & 47th in FG%. St. Bonaventure has been solid on both sides of the ball and come into this game ranked 143rd in scoring offense, T-116th in scoring defense, & 58th in defensive FG%.

Buffalo is a solid team, however, however, they don’t really have a signature win on the season and certainly have some questions defensively. St. Bonaventure hasn’t been as strong out of the gates as we’ve expected from such an experienced team, however, the Bonnies have top-25 level talent and as I think their offense is going to have a big game at home against a below average Buffalo defense, I’m taking St. Bonaventure to cover this small home spread. Good Luck!
