Morehead State vs Presbyterian 12/6/21 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Presbyterian Blue Hose and the Morehead State Eagles meet Monday in college basketball action from Ellis Johnson Arena. Presbyterian is 6-3 so far and fresh off a win over Bob Jones. Presbyterian went 2-2 over their first four games, beating VMI and the Citadel with losses to Clemson and Cincinnati. After wins over VMI, New Orleans and Central Arkansas, Presbyterian lost to Tennessee and beat Bob Jones. 

In the Bob Jones matchup, the Hose had minimal issues. Presbyterian cruised to a 47-24 halftime edge and ultimately took a dominant 90-61 win. Trevon Reddish-Rhone led the team with his 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. 

Over on the Morehead State side, they went 2-2 in their first four as well with losses to Auburn and UAB before victories versus KY Christian and Transylvania. The Eagles went 3-1 in their next quartet and are coming off a win over GA Southern back on Wednesday. 

In the GA Southern matchup, Morehead State posted a slim 27-24 halftime edge and kept the opposition in check from there on the way to a 59-51 win. Skyelar Potter topped the team on 16 points with 11 rebounds. 

The Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last six at home and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 after a straight-up win. Morehead State is 11-4 ATS in their last 15 after an ATS win. 

Meanwhile, the Hose are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine overall and 8-1 ATS in their last nine Monday games. The under is 5-1 in Presbyterian’s last six overall. 

PICK: I’m going to try Morehead State in this one. The Eagles had a bit of trouble fending off GA Southern in their last game, but all worked out well and they’re now riding a three-game win streak. Morehead State has had some good offensive outings this year, with 70 or more points in five of their eight games. 

As for the Hose, they’re 3-1 in their last four and have hit 68 points or more in each of their wins during that stretch. I like this one to be a higher-scoring outing as well, with the Eagles eking out a cover. Should be an interesting matchup.
