The Butler Bulldogs and the Oklahoma Sooners meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Lloyd Noble Center. Butler is 5-3 so far this year and took out Saginaw Valley in their last game. As for the Sooners, they’re 7-1 on the season. Oklahoma beat Florida in their last game on Wednesday. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Butler posted a three-game win streak to start out the season, then hit a three-game losing streak with losses to Michigan State, Houston and Texas A&M. In their last pair the Bulldogs have beaten Chaminade and Saginaw Valley.

In the win over Saginaw Valley, the Bulldogs posted a 38-30 second-half advantage on the way to a 68-57 result. Both Bryce Golden and Jair Bolden notched 15 points apiece, combining for three assists and nine rebounds as well.

Over on the Oklahoma side, they beat NW State, UTSA, East Carolina and Indiana State before their lone loss to Utah State. Since then it’s been wins over Houston Baptist, UCF and Florida for Oklahoma in a 7-1 season run to this point.

Back on Wednesday versus Florida, Oklahoma posted 37 points in each half on the way to a 74-67 win. Tanner Groves led the team with 20 points, eight rebounds and two assists, while Jalen Hill added 18 points with four boards and four assists.

The Sooners are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 overall and 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 Tuesday games. Oklahoma is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 at home.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. The over is 5-2 in Butler’s last seven road games.

PICK: I’m sticking with Oklahoma. The Sooners put together a good effort against a great Florida squad in their last outing. Oklahoma shot 49.1 percent from the field with a 34-33 rebounding edge and 16 team assists. The Sooners had a combined 122 points over their previous two games, so it was a nice offensive bounce-back.

As for Butler, they’ve got 52 points or fewer in each of their last three losses. This is going to be another tough game for the Bulldogs, and I don’t think they’ll find much room to score.
