The New Hampshire Wildcats and the Bryant Bulldogs meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Chace Athletic Center. New Hampshire is 4-2 so far this season and took out Central CT State in their last outing. As for Bryant, they’re 3-6 on the year. The Bulldogs lost to Cincinnati in their last game. New Hampshire posted a 1-2 run over their first three games of the year, beating Saint Joseph before losses to Marquette and Providence. Since then the Wildcats have beaten Quinnipiac, Holy Cross and Central CT State in succession.

In the Saturday game versus Central CT State, New Hampshire jumped out to a 40-23 halftime lead and kept the pace from there in a 67-45 win. The Wildcats’ top scorer was Blonde Tchoukuiengo with 20 points, five assists and four boards.

Over on the Bryant side, they went 1-3 in their first four games, losing to Rhode Island, Clemson and Bethune-Cookman along the way. After two wins, the Bulldogs lost to Dartmouth, Houston and Cincinnati in their next three.

Bryant was able to hang around with a 35-30 halftime deficit in the Sunday game versus Cincinnati, but couldn’t keep up in an eventual 73-58 loss. Peter Kiss was the leading scorer on 15 points, five rebounds and three assists.

The Bulldogs are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games. Bryant is 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 overall.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win. New Hampshire is 5-0 ATS in their last five road games.

PICK: I’m going with New Hampshire. The Wildcats have looked pretty good over this three-game win streak, scoring 67 or more points in each outing. New Hampshire only has one game so far with less than 67 points (58 in a loss to Providence).

As for Bryant, they did okay in the first half against Cincinnati but realistically weren’t going to keep up. Bryant has had a few good scoring outings this year, though. I like the Bulldogs to post a decent points total here in a relatively competitive outing and a New Hampshire cover.
