Colorado vs Eastern Washington 12/8/21 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Eastern Washington Eagles and the Colorado Buffaloes meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Coors Events Center. Eastern Washington is 4-4 on the season and coming off a win over Omaha. Eastern Washington went 2-2 over their first four games, losing to Nevada and UC Davis before wins over Walla Walla and CSU Northridge. Another 2-2 run followed with losses to Texas State and Southern Utah mixed in with wins over Washington State and Omaha. 

In the Omaha game on Saturday, Eastern Washington nursed a two-point halftime lead. The Eagles scored 44 points from there in a 92-81 victory. Rylan Bergersen led the way on 32 points with six rebounds and three assists. 

Over on the Colorado side, they won their first three games before a loss to Southern Illinois on November 19. The Buffaloes beat Duquesne, Brown and Stanford in succession before falling to UCLA and Tennessee in their last pair. 

In the Tennessee game, Colorado fell behind 34-24 at the break and didn’t get any closer in an eventual 69-54 defeat. Evan Battey led the team on 12 points and seven boards, while Tristan da Silva put up 11 points and three boards. 

The Buffaloes are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five at home and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games. Colorado is 0-3-1 ATS in their last four as a favorite. 

Meanwhile, the Eagles are 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 road games and 25-10 ATS in their last 35 overall. Eastern Washington is 5-1 ATS in their last six after a straight-up win.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Eastern Washington. The Buffaloes have had two tough matchups in their last pair, but prior to that the team was on a nice roll. Colorado has been spotty with scoring lately though, posting 63 or fewer points in four of their last six. 

As for the Eagles, they’ve hit 74 or more in each of their last four games and should be able to hang around in this one if they’re shooting well. We should be in for a pretty interesting matchup here and I like Eastern Washington to keep the pace.
