The North Dakota State Bison and the Montana State Bobcats meet in college basketball action from Worthington Arena on Tuesday night.

The North Dakota State Bison will look to build on a 114-51 win over subdivision Northland last time out. Rocky Kreuser leads the Bison in scoring and rebounding with 14.8 PPG and 8 RPG while Grant Nelson has 11.3 PPG with 6.1 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for North Dakota State up to this point in the season. Jairus Cook also has 9.3 PPG with 7.7 RPG while Tyree Eady has a team-high 3.3 APG as well on the year for North Dakota State. As a team, North Dakota State is averaging 71 PPG on 43% shooting from the field, 32.9% from three and 74.5% from the foul line while allowing 64.9 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field and 32.1% from three this season.

The Montana State Bobcats will look to add to their 68-66 win over Sacramento State last time out. Jubrile Belo leads the Bobcats in scoring with 14.9 PPG along with 6.6 RPG Abdul Mohamed has 12.9 PPG with a team-high 7.7 RPG to lead the Bobcats on the glass. Xavier Bishop has 11.6 PPG with a team-high 3.9 APG on the year to lead Montana State in assists. Amin Adamu and Tyler Patterson each have 10+ PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers up to this point in the season. As a team, Montana State is averaging 77 PPG on 47.5% shooting from the field, 38.7% from three and 72.3% from the foul line while allowing 73.2 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field and 36.7% from three this season.

North Dakota State is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 Tuesday games. Montana State is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a losing road record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 Tuesday games.

I get that the points with North Dakota State are tempting as the Bison have been more battle tested than the Bobcats this season. However, Montana State’s been the easier team to trust offensively and I have a hard time shaking off the Bison’s performance against Creighton. Montana State has been the more consistent team and the team that’s been easier to trust for much of the season and they’ve also been the far better cover team. I’ll side with the Bobcats in this spot.
