The Utah Utes and the Missouri Tigers meet in college basketball action from the Mizzou Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Utah Utes come into this game on the heels of a 96-62 win over Manhattan last time out. Branden Carlson leads the Utes in scoring and rebounding with 13.7 PPG and 6 RPG while Both Gach has 13.2 PPG with 3.4 RPG and David Jenkins Jr. has 11.8 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Utah so far this season. Rollie Worster also has 8 PPG and a team-high 4 APG as well for Utah so far this season. As a team, Utah is averaging 74.6 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field, 32.6% from three and 79.7% from the foul line while allowing 65 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field and 25.6% from three this season.

The Missouri Tigers will be out to bounce back from a 102-65 loss to Kansas in their last game. Kobe Brown leads Mizzou in scoring and rebounding with 13.8 PPG and 9.4 RPG while Amari Davis has 10.6 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for the Tigers up to this point in the season. Javon Pickett has 9.3 PPG and Ronnie DeGray III and DaJuan Gordon each have 8.7 PPG while Jarron Coleman has a team-high 3.1 APG to lead the Tigers in assists this season. As a team, Missouri is averaging 66.4 PPG on 41.3% shooting from the field, 25.1% from three and 70.3% from the foul line this season.

Utah is 8-17 ATS in their last 25 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 13-3 in their last 16 games following an ATS win. Missouri is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games while the under is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games following a loss.

I get that the Tigers could have potential as a home dog, but the reality here is that the Tigers just don’t score enough on their home floor to give legitimacy to the home court advantage. Utah isn’t a world-beater by any stretch, but they’re fairly battle tested and are a better team than we saw in the game against USC which was Utah’s only true road game and they lost to the Trojans by 20. I think this one is Utah’s to lose, so give me the Utes laying the points here.
