Lehigh vs Albany 12/21/21 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Albany Great Danes and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks meet in college basketball action from Stabler Arena on Tuesday night.

The Albany Great Danes will look to bounce back from a 66-58 loss at the hands of Niagara last time out. De’Vondre Perry has a team-high 12.6 PPG and 5.5 RPG as the lone Albany player to score in double figures for Albany so far this season while Matt Cerruti has 9.5 PPG and Jamel Horton has a team-high 4.2 APG to lead the Great Danes in the assist department this season. As a team, Albany is averaging 57.8 PPG on 39.4% shooting from the field, 29% from three and 67.3% from the foul line while allowing 68.5 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field and 34.9% from three this season.

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks will be out to snap a four-game losing streak after an 81-75 loss to Maryland-Eastern Shore last time out. Evan Taylor leads the Mountain Hawks in scoring with 11.8 PPG along with 5.9 RPG while Jeameril Watson has 11.3 PPG with 4.8 RPG and Marques Wilson has 10.8 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Lehigh so far this season. Dominic Parolin has 7.6 PPG with a team-high 7.3 RPG to lead the Mountain Hawks on the glass while Ben Knostman has a team-high 3.1 APG as well this season. As a team, Lehigh is averaging 64.8 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field, 32.6% from three and 71% from the foul line while allowing 73.4 PPG on 43% shooting from the field and 40.4% from three this season.

I kind of get the line where it is, but realistically, I don’t want to lay points with a Lehigh team that’s been losing games to lesser competition than Albany as of late and hasn’t covered a spread at home so far this season. Albany’s played some tough competition tough and have a win over Boston College recently which gives them some brownie points in my eyes. Give me the Great Danes and the points here.
