The Vanderbilt Commodores and the Arkansas Razorbacks meet in college basketball action from Bud Walton Arena on Tuesday night.

The Vanderbilt Commodores come into this game looking to extend their current three-game winning streak after a 69-67 win over BYU in their last game prior to some postponements. Scotty Pippen Jr. leads the Commodores in scoring with 18.1 PPG with 3.8 RPG and a team-high 2.5 APG to also lead Vandy in assists while Jordan Wright has 12.6 PPG with a team-high 6.1 RPG to lead the Commodores on the glass as the other double-digit scorer for Vanderbilt so far this season. As a team, Vanderbilt is averaging 69.9 PPG on 40.6% shooting from the field, 29.5% from three and 72.6% from the foul line while allowing 60.7 PPG on 39.1% shooting from the field and 31.4% from three this season.

The Arkansas Razorbacks will look to bounce back after losing 3 of their last 4 games after an 81-68 loss to Mississippi State last time out. JD Notae leads the Hogs in scoring with 18 PPG along with 4.1 RPG and 3.8 APG while Au’Diese Toney has 10.7PPG with 5.8 RPG and Chris Lykes has 12.9 PPG. Davonte Davis also has 10.7 PPG with 4.5 RPG and a team-high 4 APG to lead the Hogs in assists and to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Arkansas up to this point in the season. Jaylin Williams also leads Arkansas with a team-high of 8.2 RPG and 3.8 APG as well this season. As a team, Arkansas is averaging 80.5 PPG on 46.2% shooting from the field, 30.4% from three and 73.6% from the foul line while allowing 70.6 PPG on 43.1% shooting from the field and 36% from three this season.

Vanderbilt is 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 road games and 16-6-4 ATS in their last 26 games overall while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning home record. Arkansas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games overall.

I can get the reasoning for Arkansas laying points at home, but the Hogs haven’t been playing all that great in the last couple of weeks and I’m not sure I’m willing to lay points with them in this spot. On the other side, Vanderbilt’s been playing better, but we have to see if it’s sustainable in conference play. Instead, I’m going to side with the over as I envision this being a game where both teams end up in the 70s and for this game to finish closer to the 150s than where the total currently sits.
