The South Dakota State Jackrabbits and the Omaha Mavericks meet Thursday in college basketball action from Baxter Arena. South Dakota State is currently 13-4 on the year. The Jackrabbits beat South Dakota in their last game. As for Omaha, they’re 3-14 so far and lost to UMKC in their last matchup. South Dakota State posted a 9-4 run in their first 13 games this year. The Jackrabbits lost to Alabama, Washington, Idaho and Missouri State in that time. Since then South Dakota State has taken out UMKC, Oral Roberts, ND State and South Dakota.

PICK: I’m going to stick with South Dakota State, but it’s a pretty thick line to be messing with. The Jackrabbits have been on a nice run over their last four games, scoring 82 or more points in each outing. Overall South Dakota State is scoring quite well this year and it’s helped the team to a strong record. As for Omaha, they’ve got a couple of nice performances in their last five games or so. That said, I don’t think the Mavericks will keep up for long here.
