The Memphis Tigers and the UCF Knights meet in college basketball action from Addition Financial Arena on Wednesday night.

The Memphis Tigers come into this game winners of three straight after an 87-80 win over Cincinnati last time out. DeAndre Williams leads the Tigers in scoring with 11.3 PPG along with 5.3 RPG while Emoni Bates has 10.9 PPG with 3.2 RPG and Jalen Duran has 10.8 PPG with a team-high 7.3 RPG to lead the Tigers on the glass and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Memphis up to this point in the year. Lester Quinones and Landers Nolley II each have 9+ PPG and 3.8 RPG for the Tigers while Alex Lomax has a team-high 3 APG to lead the Tigers in assists. As a team, Memphis is averaging 78.4 PPG on 47.5% shooting from the field, 35.6% from three and 69.7% from the foul line while allowing 70.4 PPG on 39.8% shooting from the field and 33.1% from three this season.

The UCF Knights will look to bounce back after a 66-62 loss to Temple last time out. Darin Green Jr. leads the Knights in scoring with 14.5 PPG while Darius Perry has 11.5 PPG with 3.8 RPG and a team-high 4.9 APG to lead the Knights in assists. Brandon Mahan also has 10.5 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for UCF. C.J. Walker has 8.4 PPG with a team-high 6.2 RPG to lead UCF on the boards and Cheikh Mbacke Diong also has 5.9 RPG this season. As a team, UCF is averaging 72.5 PPG on 45.3% shooting from the field, 35.4% from three and 77.7% from the foul line while allowing 65 PPG on 41.3% shooting from the field and 28.8% from three this season.

Memphis is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. UCF is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 while the under is 5-1-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record.

I get why you’d look Memphis’ way here, as the Tigers have had the number of UCF in recent years, winning five straight against the Knights. However, I still think that this Memphis team is a lot of hype, hype I’ve bought into at times myself admittedly, and I think that UCF is a solid team that can give the Tigers some issues in this one. I’ll side with UCF at home here.
