Radford kicked off the year on a 4-8 run with victories over Emory & Henry, William & Mary, Eastern Kentucky and Kentucky Christian. After another win over USC Upstate, the Highlanders have since fallen to NC A&T and Longwood.

Matched up against Longwood on Wednesday, the Highlanders came back from a 35-31 halftime deficit to force overtime but still lost 83-75. Bryan Hart led the team on 18 points, and Artese Stapleton added 16 points with five boards.

Over on the Campbell side, they went 7-2 in their first nine games this year with losses to only Duke and VCU. The Camels hit a losing streak versus GA Southern, UNC Wilmington, UNC Asheville and Winthrop before another win over Charleston Southern.

In the Charleston Southern matchup on Wednesday, the Camels posted a 35-23 run in the first half on the way to a 67-52 victory. Jordan Whitfield topped the team on 18 points. Cedric Henderson added 16 points with six boards and five assists.

The Camels are 0-5 ATS in their last five at home and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. Campbell is 6-0-1 ATS in the last seven Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Highlanders are 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. Radford is 10-26-1 ATS in their last 37 Saturday games.

PICK: I’m probably going to take a stab on Radford but probably not touching this one. The Highlanders have managed just one win in their last seven games. That said, Radford has scored pretty well over their last three outings with 72 or more points in each. That’s good news, considering the fact that Campbell has been at 67 points or fewer in four of their last five. If nothing else this should be a pretty competitive game; I think Radford can power out a cover.
