The Arkansas Razorbacks and the LSU Tigers meet Saturday in college basketball action from Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Arkansas is 11-5 on the year so far. The Razorbacks took out Missouri in their last appearance. As for LSU, they’re sitting at 15-1 and fresh off a win over Florida. Arkansas went 9-0 to start the year before falling to Oklahoma and Hofstra in consecutive games. Since then the Razorbacks are 2-3 with losses to Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M mixed with wins over Elon and Missouri.

In the Missouri matchup on Wednesday, the Razorbacks jumped out to a 49-15 halftime lead. Arkansas kept the pressure on from there in an 87-43 blowout victory. Top scorer JD Notae had 19 points, and Jaylin Williams doubled on 13 points and 10 boards.

Over on the LSU side, they hit the ground running this year on a 12-game win streak. The Tigers lost to Auburn on December 29, but since then they’ve gotten back to business with wins over Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida.

Matched up against Florida in the Wednesday game, the Tigers posted 38 points in the first half and 26 more from there in a 64-58 win. Darius Days was the leading scorer with 20 points and six rebounds. Eric Gaines added 15 points and four boards.

The Tigers are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 at home and 21-6-1 ATS in the last 28 overall. The under is 7-2 in LSU’s last nine at home.

Meanwhile, the Razorbacks are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 0-4 ATS in their last four after an ATS win. Arkansas is 0-8 ATS in the last eight Saturday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with LSU. The Tigers need to have a better game here than they did versus Florida, however. LSU shot a nice 50 percent from the floor with 34 rebounds in that one, but also had a tepid eight assists, 33.3 percent (3-of-9) from 3-point range and 16 turnovers.

As for Arkansas, they’re scoring pretty well lately despite a 2-4 run over their last six games. The Razorbacks hit 68 points or more in all six of those matchups. Arkansas could provide some real trouble here if they’re on point. That said, I think LSU can eke out a cover. Should be an interesting game.
