The Nevada Wolf Pack and the Air Force Falcons meet in college basketball action from the Clune Arena on Saturday.

The Nevada Wolf Pack come into this game on the heels of an 85-70 loss to Boise State last time out. Grant Sherfield leads the Wolf Pack in scoring and assists with 19.4 PPG and 6.6 APG while Desmond Cambridge has 17.2 PPG with 4.8 RPG and 2.1 APG. Will Baker has 11.5 PPG with 5 RPG and Warren Washington has 11.3 PPG with 6.8 RPG to lead the Wolf Pack on the glass this season. AJ Bramah has 10.8 PPG and 6.5 RPG in 4 games for Nevada this season to round out the scoring in double figures for the Wolf Pack so far this season. As a team, Nevada is averaging 77.1 PPG on 44.3% shooting from the field, 33.8% from three and 77.2% from the foul line while allowing 75.9 PPG on 43.8% shooting from the field and 34.2% from three this season.

The Air Force Falcons will try to bounce back from a 67-59 loss to Colorado State last time out. A.J. Walker leads the Falcons in scoring with 16.7 PPG as the lone double-digit scorer for the Falcons so far this season while Jake Heidbreder has 9.4 PPG and Ethan Taylor has 9.2 PPG with a team-high 5.2 RPG to lead the Falcons on the glass this season. Taylor also has a team-high 3.7 APG to lead Air Force in assists while Joseph Octave has 8.9 PPG as well on the year. As a team, Air Force is averaging 58.9 PPG on 45.5% shooting from the field, 35.8% from three and 66% from the foul line while allowing 59.8 PPG on 41.4% shooting from the field and 28.4% from three this season.

Nevada is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games as a favorite. Air Force is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Saturday games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall.

I get the allure of points with Air Force as a home dog, but they’ve been getting the benefit of the doubt based on situational spots. Like the games that they covered against Utah State and Colorado State were against teams that had no business laying big numbers like that after long layoffs. Nevada has had issues of late, but they’re still the better team that’s also easier to trust offensively. I envision a double-digit win for Nevada here, so I’ll lay the points with the Wolf Pack in this one.
