The Wyoming Cowboys and the Utah State Aggies meet in college basketball action from the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Saturday night.

The Wyoming Cowboys come into this one not having played since December 25th after a 77-57 win over USF in that one. Graham Ike leads the Cowboys in scoring and rebounding with 19.5 PPG along with 8.4 RPG while Hunter Maldonado has 17.3 PPG with 5.5 RPG and a team-high 5.9 APG as well this season. Xavier DuSell has 11.5 PPG with 2.9 RPG and Drake Jeffries has 11 PPG with 5.1 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Wyoming up to this point in the season. As a team, Wyoming is averaging 77.5 PPG on 47.6% shooting from the field, 35.6% from three and 68.8% from the foul line while allowing 63.1 PPG on 39.2% shooting from the field and 28.1% from three this season.

The Utah State Aggies will try to rebound from a 77-72 loss to Colorado State last time out. Justin Bean leads the Aggies in scoring and rebounding by averaging a double-double per game with 19.6 PPG and 10.2 RPG while Brandon Horvath has 13.1 PPG with 6.3 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Utah State so far this season. Brock Miller has 8.8 PPG while Rylan Jones has 7.4 PPG and a team-high 5.6 APG to lead the Aggies in the assist department. As a team, Utah State is averaging 77.7 PPG on 48.5% shooting from the field, 36.1% from three and 74.2% from the foul line while allowing 69.9 PPG on 41.6% shooting from the field and 34.5% from the foul line this season.

Wyoming is 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 games overall and 18-5 ATS in their last 23 games as a road underdog while the over is 17-5-2 in their last 24 Saturday games. Utah State is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite while the under is 10-3 in their last 13 Saturday games.

I get the case to be made for both sides here as Wyoming’s been really good, but they’ve yet to play since Christmas Day. On the other hand, Utah State has a solid player in Justin Bean, but we’ve seen the good and bad with Utah State as of late. Instead, I’m going to side with the under. I think it’ll take Wyoming some time to get going and I don’t expect a massive offensive output from Utah State either. Give me the under in this one.
