The Missouri Tigers will travel to The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss to take on the Ole Miss Rebels this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Missouri Tigers lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 7-9 on the season after being defeated by the Texas A&M Aggies, 67-64, this past Saturday. Missouri led by a 34-24 margin at halftime, however, the Tigers struggled defensively in the 2nd half and could not fight back after the Aggies took a 65-61 lead with :31 seconds left in regulation. Missouri shot 47.2% from the field & 36.4% from beyond the arc while allowing Texas A&M to shoot 38.1% from the field & 23.5% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was Jarron Coleman who had 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, & 1 steal.

On the season, Missouri is averaging 66.6 ppg on 40.8% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 5.0 three-pointers per game on 25.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Missouri has been led by Kobe Brown (14.2 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.5 spg), Jarron Coleman (9.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.9 apg), Amari Davis (9.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.2 apg), & Javon Pickett (9.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.7 apg).

Defensively, Missouri is allowing their opponents to average 72.4 ppg on 45.3% shooting from the field. The Tigers have a rebound margin of 2.4 and a turnover margin of -1.4.

The Ole Miss Rebels lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 9-7 on the season after being defeated by the 4th ranked Auburn Tigers, 80-71, this past Saturday. Ole Miss led by a 44-38 margin at halftime, however, the Rebels have no answers for the Auburn defense in the 2nd half and could not fight back after the Tigers took a 69-60 lead with 5:07 left in regulation. Ole Miss shot 44.4% from the field & 36.4% from beyond the arc while allowing Auburn to shoot 50.0% from the field & 32.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Rebels was Nysier Brooks who had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 block.

On the season, Ole Miss is averaging 69.3 ppg on 43.0% shooting from the field. The Rebels are averaging 7.2 three-pointers per game on 32.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Ole Miss has been led by Jarkel Joiner (13.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.2 spg), Daeshun Ruffin (11.1 ppg, 3.5 apg, 2.3 spg), Matthew Murrell (9.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg), & Nysier Brooks (9.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg).

Defensively, Ole Miss is holding their opponents to average 65.4 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field. The Rebels have a rebound margin of 0.9 and a turnover margin of 1.7.

The Tigers are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games and just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. Ole Miss. The Rebels are 10-5 ATS in their last 15 games vs. SEC opponents & 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Tuesday home games.

Missouri has struggled on both ends of the court this season and come into this game ranked just 293rd in scoring offense, 311th in FG%, & 265th in scoring defense. Ole Miss has been led by their defense which ranks 90th in scoring defense & 87th in steals per game, however, the offense has struggled at times and currently ranks just 243rd in scoring offense & 244th in FG%.

Missouri is 0-4 on the road this season and it hasn’t been pretty as although those games have come against tough competition (Liberty, Kansas, Kentucky, & Arkansas), the Tigers have lost those 4 games by an average of 32.3 ppg. Ole Miss has been solid at home, posting an 8-2 record, and as I liked what I saw for the Rebels against Auburn and that I think their defense gives Missouri trouble, I’m taking Ole Miss to cover this large home spread. Good Luck!
