The Georgia Bulldogs will travel to Colonial Life Arena to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks this Saturday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Georgia Bulldogs lost their 7th straight game and dropped to 5-13 on the season after being defeated by the 2nd ranked Auburn Tigers, 83-60, this past Wednesday. Georgia had no answers on either end of the court in the 1st half for Auburn and could not fight back into the game after going into halftime trailing by a 52-27 margin. Georgia shot 42.0% from the field & 38.5% from beyond the arc while allowing Auburn to shoot 45.8% from the field & 27.8% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Christian Wright who had 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 steal.

On the season, Georgia is averaging 70.2 ppg on 44.3% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs are averaging 6.6 three-pointers per game on 32.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Georgia has been led by Kario Oquendo (13.4 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.1 spg), Braelen Bridges (12.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.6 apg), Aaron Cook (10.2 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 6.1 apg, 1.4 spg), & Noah Baumann (8.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg).

Defensviely, Georgia is allowing their opponents to average 75.5 ppg on 46.2% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs have a rebound margin of 0.7 and a turnover margin of -3.8.

The South Carolina Gamecocks lost their 3rd straight game and dropped to 10-7 on the season after being defeated by the Arkansas Razorbacks, 75-59, this past Tuesday. South Carolina led by a 40-33 margin at halftime, however, the Gamecocks had no answers on the offensive end for Arkansas in the 2nd half and could not fight back after the Gamecocks took a 62-51 lead with 5:31 left in regulation. South Carolina shot 33.9% from the field & 30.4% from beyond the arc while holding Arkansas to 40.7% shooting from the field 7 0.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Gamecocks was Devin Carter who had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, & 2 steals.

On the season, South Carolina is averaging 71.2 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field. The Gamecocks are averaging 6.9 three-pointers per game on 32.3% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, South Carolina has been led by Erik Stevenson (10.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.3 spg), James Reese V (10.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 spg), Jermaine Couisnard (9.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.2 apg), & Devin Carter (8.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.6 apg).

Defensviely, South Carolina is allowing their opponents to average 68.0 ppg on 39.6% shooting from the field. The Gamecocks have a rebound margin of 3.9 and a turnover margin of -0.1.

The Bulldogs are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss & 3-12 ATS in their last 15 Saturday games. The Gamecocks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record & 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Georgia has struggled on both ends of the court this season as the Bulldogs come into this game ranked just 218th in scoring offense, 310th in scoring defense, & 323rd in defensive FG%. South Carolina has been led by their defense which ranks t-153rd in scoring defense, 33rd in defensive FG%, & 87th in rebound margin, however, the offense has struggled a bit as the Gamecocks rank just 189th in scoring offense, 246th in FG%, & 240th in 3P-FG%.

Georgia is not a very good team and despite not loving how high this spread is, I just can’t trust a Bulldogs team that is 0-4 on the road this season and have lost their 3 road SEC games by an average of 18.0 ppg. South Carolina should be able to have some success offensively against the poor Georgia defense and as I expect the Gamecocks to give the Georgia offense some trouble, I think South Carolina wins this one by double-digits and cover this spread. Good Luck!
