Boise State vs Wyoming 1/25/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Wyoming Cowboys and the Boise State Broncos meet Tuesday in college basketball action from ExtraMile Arena. Wyoming is 15-2 on the year so far. The Cowboys beat New Mexico in their last game. Wyoming won their first eight games this year, then hit a 1-2 stretch that featured losses to Arizona and Stanford. Since then it’s been six straight victories over Northern Iowa, South Florida, Utah State, Nevada, San Jose State and New Mexico. 

In the New Mexico game, the Cowboys held a seven-point lead at halftime. Wyoming was outscored 57-52 in the second half but still held on for the 93-91 win. Graham Ike was the lead contributor on 29 points and 15 rebounds in the victory. 

Over on the Boise State side, their year began on a 3-4 stretch that featured losses to UC Irvine, St. Bonaventure, CSU Bakersfield and Saint Louis. It’s been a 12-game win streak for the Broncos since then, culminating in a victory over San Diego State on Saturday. 

In the matchup versus the Aztecs, the Broncos were down 23-22 at the break. Boise State posted a 20-14 edge from there in a tense 42-37 victory. Leading the way for the Broncos was Tyson Degenhart with 14 points and four rebounds. 

The Broncos are 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS win and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 overall. The under is 8-2 in Boise State’s last 10 Tuesday games. 

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 25-8 ATS in their last 33 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five Tuesday games. Boise State is 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 overall.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Wyoming. A lot of different things could happen in this game, though. The good news is that the Cowboys have been scoring well lately; they’ve hit 71 or more in each of their last six outings. That’s going to be very important here: Boise State has allowed 63 points or fewer in 11 of their last 12 games. The Broncos’ scoring has fluctuated on the other side, but they’re earning the Ws with solid defensive efforts. This one looks like a great matchup to watch. I’m leaning Wyoming cover-wise but I could easily see Boise State controlling things as well.
