The Sacramento State Hornets and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks meet in college basketball action from the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome on Monday night.

The Sacramento State Hornets will try to snap a three-game losing skid after a 73-72 OT loss to Idaho last time out. Bryce Fowler leads the Hornets in scoring and assists with 16.6 PPG and 3.6 APG to go along with 5.6 RPG. Zach Chappell has 12.1 PPG with 3.5 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Sac State so far this season. Jonathan Komagum has a team-high 6.8 RPG as well for the Hornets this season. As a team, Sacramento State is averaging 65.4 PPG on 41.1% shooting from the field, 33.5% from three and 64.1% from the foul line while allowing 70 PPG on 43.8% shooting from the field and 31.7% from three this season.

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks will be out to bounce back from a 58-48 loss to Montana in their last game. Jalen Cone leads the Lumberjacks in scoring with 18.5 PPG along with 3.3 APG while Nik Mains has 12.4 PPG with 5.1 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Northern Arizona so far this season. Keith Haymon has 9.5 PPG while Carson Towt has 8.2 PPG with team-highs of 9.6 RPG and 3.9 APG to lead the Lumberjacks in rebounds and assists as well this season. As a team, Northern Arizona is averaging 69.3 PPG on 42.2% shooting from the field, 37.3% from three and 67% from the foul line while allowing 72.7 PPG on 44.2% shooting from the field and 33.8% from three this season.

Sacramento State is 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the under is 7-0 in their last 7 games against a team with a losing record. Northern Arizona is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record.

I get the case to be made either way here, but truthfully, I think the stronger play is the under. It’s hit in each of the last nine meetings between these two teams and in their recent struggles these have also been two teams that have struggled to score for the most part. I think we could end up seeing a first to 60 kind of game, so give me the under here.
