The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks and the Seattle Redhawks meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Climate Pledge Arena. Stephen F. Austin is currently 12-7 on the year. The Lumberjacks lost to New Mexico State in their last game. As for Seattle, they’re 15-4 and coming off a win over Tarleton. Stephen F. Austin kicked off the year at a solid 8-2 clip, then lost four of their next six games to UL Monroe, Kansas, Tarleton and Sam Houston. After wins over Lamar and Grand Canyon, the Lumberjacks lost again to New Mexico State.

In the New Mexico State game, the Lumberjacks scored just 26 points in the first half and 32 more in the second for a 72-58 loss. Tops in scoring for Stephen F. Austin was Sadaidriene Hall with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists off the bench.

Over on the Seattle side, they went 8-4 over their first dozen this year with losses to Washington State, VMI, UNLV and Washington. It’s been a seven-game win streak since then however, and Seattle took out Tarleton in their last game on Saturday.

Matched up against Tarleton, the Redhawks posted a 41-36 edge in the second half on the way to a solid 76-68 victory. Seattle’s Cameron Tyson topped the team with 21 points and eight rebounds. Darrion Trammell added 13 points and five assists.

The Redhawks are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine at home and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four after an ATS win. Seattle is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six overall.
Meanwhile, the Lumberjacks are 1-6 ATS in the last seven Wednesday games and 1-5 ATS in the last six overall. The over is 9-3 in SFA’s last 12 Wednesday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Seattle. The Redhawks have looked pretty good during this seven-game win streak. They’ve hit 71 or more points in every outing and have held opponents to 68 points or fewer in four of the last five. Stephen F. Austin has given up 72 or more points in four of their last six games, so if Seattle’s offense is working the Redhawks shouldn’t have much trouble scoring here. I like a higher-total outcome in this one with Seattle powering out a cover.
