The Boston University Terriers and the Lafayette Leopards meet in college basketball action from Kirby Sports Center on Wednesday night.

The Boston University Terriers will look to build on back-to-back wins after an 80-74 win over Lehigh last time out. Javante McCoy leads the Terriers in scoring and assists with 16.5 PPG and 2.9 APG while Walter Whyte has 12.8 PPG with 6.2 RPG and Sukhmail Mathon has 14.9 PPG with a team-high 10.3 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Boston U up to this point in the season. As a team, Boston is averaging 68.8 PPG on 43.9% shooting from the field, 33.8% from three and 74.7% from the foul line while allowing 65 PPG on 44.2% shooting from the field and 32.9% from three this season.

The Lafayette Leopards will look to build on a 69-56 win over American on the road last time out. Neal Quinn leads the Leopards across the board with team-highs of 13.2 PPG, 8.1 RPG and 4.1 APG while Tyrone Perry has 12.3 PPG with 4 RPG and 3.1 APG and Kyle Jenkins has 10.8 PPG with 6.1 RPG as well this season. Leo O’Boyle also has 10 PPG for the Leopards as well this season. As a team, Lafayette is averaging 67.7 PPG on 41.9% shooting from the field, 32.7% from three and 71.3% from the foul line while allowing 73.4 PPG on 44.6% shooting from the field and 34.4% from three this season.

Boston University is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win and 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 road games against a team with a home winning percentage below .400. Lafayette is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a win while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the case to be made for a home dog in most spots, but Lafayette’s had issues for much of the season and while neither is all that great offensively, it’s the Terriers that have been having success on the defensive end and have been having a lot more success in the win-loss column while Lafayette is 2-5 SU at home this season. No Bueno. Give me the Terriers on the road here laying the bucket.
