The Ole Miss Rebels and the Florida Gators meet in college basketball action from the Exactech Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Ole Miss Rebels will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 76-72 win over LSU last time out. Jarkel Joiner leads the Rebels in scoring with 13.6 PPG while also adding 2.8 APG while Daeshun Ruffin has 12.6 PPG, but both are out for this game with Ruffin missing the rest of the season. Matthew Morrell has 10.4 PPG while Nysier Brooks has 9.5 PPG with a team-high 8 RPG to lead Ole Miss on the glass and Austin Crowley has a team-high 2.4 APG as well this season. As a team, Ole Miss is averaging 67.7 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field, 32.8% from three and 72.2% from the foul line while allowing 65.8 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field and 29.6% from three this season.

The Florida Gators will try to build on back-to-back wins after a 66-65 win over Missouri last time out. Colin Castleton leads the Gators in scoring and rebounding with 15.4 PPG and 9.1 RPG but it still out indefinitely with a shoulder injury while Phlandrous Fleming Jr. has 10.9 PPG with 3,8 RPG. Tyree Appleby has 10.9 PPG with a team-high 3.7 APG and Anthony Duruji has 10 PPG with 4.4 RPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Florida this season. Myreon Jones also has 9 PPG for the Gators on the year. As a team, Florida is averaging 71.5 PPG on 42.8% shooting from the field, 30.4% from three and 72.7% from the foul line while allowing 64.2 PPG on 44% shooting from the field and 31.7% from three this season.

Ole Miss is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS win while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. Florida is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 Saturday games.

I get the reasoning to be made either way here, but I truly think my stronger play here is on the over. These are two teams that have really adopted the next man up mentality with so many of their top players going down to injury and despite all that, the talent level hasn’t dropped. There are two teams that can put points on the board and I think one of, if not both of these teams get into the 70s here and get us a game that goes into the 140s, well above this number. Give me the over here.
