Wisconsin-Green Bay vs Northern Kentucky 2/11/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Northern Kentucky Norse and the Green Bay Phoenix meet Friday in college basketball action from Kress Events Center. Northern Kentucky is 13-10 so far this year. The Norse beat Milwaukee in their last game. As for Green Bay, they’re 4-19 and took a loss to Wright State in their most recent outing. Northern Kentucky started out the year at a tepid 6-9, but they’ve gotten much better since then. The Norse are on a 7-1 run right now, beating UIC, IUPUI, Wright State, Fort Wayne, Cleveland State, Oakland and Milwaukee along the way. 

In the Milwaukee game on Wednesday, the Norse outscored the Panthers 30-22 in the first half and 45-17 in the second on the way to a 75-39 blowout win. Tops in scoring was Chris Brandon with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Over on the Green Bay side, they’ve only been able to win consecutive games once this year so far. Since their last victory, the Phoenix have lost to Oakland, Youngstown State, Robert Morris, Cleveland State, Fort Wayne and Wright State. 

Matched up against Wright State on Wednesday, the Phoenix scored 34 points in the first half and 28 in the second on the way to a 79-62 defeat. Kamari McGee led the team with 24 points and five boards, while Nate Jenkins added 12 points. 

The Phoenix are 1-4 ATS in their last five Friday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. The under is 5-2 in Green Bay’s last seven overall. 

Meanwhile, the Norse are 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS win and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. Northern Kentucky is 7-1 ATS in the last eight overall. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Northern Kentucky here. The Norse are on a nice run over this 7-1 stretch; they’ve hit 68 or more points in five of those games and held opponents to 63 points or fewer in four of them. 

Offensively the Norse shouldn’t have any issues with Green Bay. The Phoenix haven’t scored more than 69 points in any of the last six games. If Northern Kentucky can find a decent scoring rhythm here they should have no issues.
