Buffalo posted a 6-6 run through their first 12 games this year, but things have gotten better since then. The Bulls are on a 7-2 run over their last nine games. They’ve beaten Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Ball State in the last trio.
In the Ball State game on Saturday, the Bulls posted 38 points in the first half and another 42 after the break during an 80-74 win. Tops in scoring was Jeenathan Williams with 24 points and three rebounds. David Skogman added 13 boards as well.
Over on the Bowling Green side, they started out at a reasonable 7-4 on the year but since have only been able to win consecutive games just once. In the last pair, the Falcons have fallen to Kent State and Miami-OH.
In the Miami-OH matchup, the Falcons were looking at a 32-47 deficit by halftime. Bowling Green put up 46 points in the second half but couldn’t’ catch up in a 94-78 loss. Myron Gordon led the team on 20 bench points with four steals.
The Falcons are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games and 13-28-3 ATS in the last 44 after an ATS loss. Bowling Green is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last five Tuesday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games. The over is 7-3 in Buffalo’s last 10 Tuesday games.
PICK: I’m going to stay with Buffalo here. The Bulls had a couple of rough outings versus Toledo and Ohio late last month, but they’ve been good in the last three outings. Buffalo has hit 74 or more points in each of those and generally the team scores well in comparable matchups.
Buffalo won the last time these teams met up, 99-88 back on January 5. Bowling Green will likely be a little more comfortable in this rematch but the Bulls should have the advantage on a cover.
