The Clemson Tigers will travel to take on the KFC Yum! Center to take on the Louisville Cardinals this Saturday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Clemson Tigers lost their 5th straight game and dropped to 12-14 on the season after being defeated by the Florida State Seminoles, 81-80, this past Tuesday. Clemson kept the game competitive by hitting 30 of 36 free-throws, however, Florida State was able to pick up the victory after a RayQuan Evans hit a game-winning three-point play with just :14 seconds left in regulation. Clemson shot 38.6% from the field & 22.2% from beyond the arc while allowing Florida State to shoot 43.6% from the field & 42.1% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was PJ Hall who had 28 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 block.

On the season, Clemson is averaging 72.3 ppg on 45.5% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 7.9 three-pointers per game on 36.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Clemson has been led by PJ Hall (16.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.2 bpg), Al-Amir Dawes (10.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.0 spg), Hunter Tyson (10.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.2 apg), & David Collins (10.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.7 spg).

Defensively, Clemson is allowing their opponents to an average of 69.1 ppg on 43.0% shooting from the field. The Tigers have a rebound margin of 2.6 and a turnover margin of 0.4.

The Louisville Cardinals lost their 7th straight game and dropped to 11-14 on the season after being defeated by the Miami Hurricanes, 70-63, this past Wednesday. Louisville trailed by a 35-25 margin at halftime and was not able to fight back after the Hurricanes took a 64-54 lead with just 3:31 left in regulation. Louisville shot 42.9% from the field & 15.4% from beyond the arc while allowing Miami to shoot 45.9% from the field & 28.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Dre Davis who had 18 points, 6 rebounds, & 1 assist.

On the season, Louisville is averaging 68.2 ppg on 41.9% shooting from the field. The Cardinals are averaging 7.9 three-pointers per game on 31.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Louisville has been led by Malik Williams (9.5 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.2 spg), Noah Locke (9.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg), El Ellis (9.0 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.5 apg), & Dre Davis (8.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg).

Defensively, Louisville is allowing their opponents to an average of 69.7 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field. The Cardinals have a rebound margin of 1.2 and a turnover margin of -1.0.

The Tigers are 0-3-2 ATS in their last 5 games overall & 0-2-2 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss. The Cardinals are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games & 3-13 ATS in their last 16 home games.

Louisville has lost 10 of their last 11 games and it’s been a struggle for the Cardinals on both ends of the court this season as they come into this game ranked just 254th in scoring offense, 280th in FG%, & 194th in scoring defense. Clemson has also struggled as of late, however, this is still a team that has been solid on the offensive end this season as the Tigers rank 152nd in scoring offense, 104th in FG%, & 45th in 3P-FG%. Clemson hasn’t been great on the road, however, between the fact that the Tigers are the better team, and that Louisville is just not as strong of a team at home that we’re accustomed to seeing, I’m taking Clemson to cover this small road spread. Good Luck!
