The San Francisco Dons and the Pacific Tigers meet Monday in college basketball action from Alex G. Spanos Center. San Francisco is 21-7 on the year. The Dons lost to Saint Mary’s in their last appearance. As for Pacific, they’re currently 8-18 and coming off a win versus Loyola Marymount. San Francisco started out on a nice 13-1 run, then hit a choppy 3-4 stretch in January. The Dons are 5-2 since then with wins over Santa Clara (twice), BYU, Portland and Pepperdine alongside losses to Portland and Saint Mary’s.

On Thursday versus Saint Mary’s, the Dons trailed 33-38 by halftime. San Francisco kept the pace up from there but couldn’t come back in a 69-64 loss. Gabe Stefanini led the team on his 23 points with four assists.

Over on the Pacific side, they put up a 4-3 run through their first seven games but haven’t been able to win consecutive outings since then. After a four-game losing streak to Pepperdine, USC, Gonzaga and San Diego, the Tigers won their last outing versus Loyola Marymount.

In the matchup versus LMU back on Saturday, the Tigers took a slim three-point lead into the break. Pacific was outscored 33-35 in the second but hung on for the 69-68 victory. Jeremiah Bailey led the team on his 22 points and eight rebounds.

The Tigers are 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four Monday games. The over is 15-5-1 in Pacific’s last 21 at home.
Meanwhile, the Dons are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS win. San Francisco is 14-29-1 ATS in their last 44 overall.

PICK: I’m probably going to stay with San Francisco here. The Dons had a sketchy road outing in their last matchup versus a tricky Saint Mary’s team, but otherwise they’ve been pretty sharp throughout this 5-2 span. San Francisco has scored 68 or more points in seven of their last eight games and shouldn’t have trouble putting up points here.

As for Pacific, they managed a nice win in their last outing but they haven’t hit 70 points in any of the last five appearances. I don’t think the Tigers will be able to keep the pace in this one.
