The USC Trojans and the Oregon Ducks meet Saturday in college basketball action from Matthew Knight Arena. USC is sitting at 24-4 on the year. The Trojans took a 2OT win over Oregon State in their last game. As for Oregon, they’re currently 18-10 and coming off a win over UCLA. USC has been a model of consistency this year; they have yet to lose consecutive outings. The Trojans are currently riding a five-game win streak. They’ve taken out Pacific, UCLA, Washington, Washington State and Oregon State in that time.

Matched up against Oregon State on Thursday, the Trojans had a seven-point halftime lead disappear and needed overtime to power out the 94-91 victory. Tops in scoring was Drew Peterson on 23 points with 10 boards and three assists.

Over on the Oregon side, their year began at a rough 6-6 overall but the team has evened things out since then. The Ducks recently hit a 1-3 stretch in some tough matchups, but were able to power out an upset win over UCLA in their last outing.

On Thursday versus UCLA, the Ducks held a 35-30 lead by halftime. Oregon kept the pace 33-33 from there and emerged with a nice 68-63 victory. De’Vion Harmon was the top team scorer on 17 points with six rebounds.

Oregon is 2-5 ATS in the last seven overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win. The Ducks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall.

Meanwhile, the Trojans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games. USC is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall.

PICK: I’m going to try Oregon in this one. The Ducks are coming off a nice win on Thursday, a much-needed boost after a 1-3 stretch. Oregon has a couple of rough recent losses to Cal and Arizona State but they were right with Arizona in a three-point road loss.

As for USC, they’re doing well on this five-game win streak. That said, three of the Trojans’ last four wins have come by three points or fewer. If Oregon can keep the pace up in the second half here, I think they’ll be okay on a cover.
