The Indiana Hoosiers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers meet Sunday in college basketball action from Williams Arena. Indiana is 17-10 so far this year and coming off a win over Maryland. As for Minnesota, they’re sitting at 13-13 this season. The Gophers lost to Wisconsin in their last game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Indiana put together a pretty solid 16-5 run heading into February. The Hoosiers would then hit a five-game losing streak to Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Ohio State before stopping the bleeding with a win over Maryland.

In Thursday’s matchup versus the Terrapins, Indiana was up 30-27 by halftime. The Hoosiers kept it up with a 44-37 second half in a 74-64 victory. Xavier Johnson was the top scorer on 24 points with six rebounds and one steal.

Over on the Minnesota side, they were 10-1 back on December 22 but they’ve only been able to win three games since then. The Gophers are 1-3 in their last four games with losses to Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin in that stretch.

Matched up against Wisconsin on Wednesday, the Gophers were down by two points at halftime. Minnesota had a 31-30 advantage from there but still lost 68-67. Jamison Battle was the leading scorer on 17 points with four rebounds.

The Gophers are 1-8 ATS in their last nine after an ATS win and 9-4 ATS in the last 13 Sunday games. The over is 7-0 in Minnesota’s last seven at home.
Meanwhile, the Hoosiers are 2-13-1 ATS in their last 16 road games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. Indiana is 1-5 ATS in their last six overall.

PICK: I’m going to try Indiana here. Probably staying away, though; there’s not much to like about either team lately. In any case, the Hoosiers have been beaten up by some very good conference teams lately; they’ve played four ranked squads in their last six games, so the results haven’t been great. Indiana had a solid outing versus Maryland though, and that should carry over in this one.

As for Minnesota, they stood tall against Wisconsin in their last game but they haven’t had much success outside of that lately. All things considered Indiana probably has the cover advantage here, but it’s a tough call.
