The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will look to bounce back from a 56-49 loss to North Texas last time out. Kenneth Lofton Jr. leads the Bulldogs in scoring and rebounding with 16.6 PPG and 10.6 RPG, averaging a double-double per game while Amorie Archibald has 13 PPG and 3.6 RPG this season. Keaston Willis has 12 PPG with 3.4 RPG and Cobe Williams has 11.1 PPG and a team-high 3.3 APG as well on the year for the Bulldogs, leading the team in assists and also capping off the group of double-digit scorers for LA Tech so far this season. As a team, LA Tech is averaging 77.4 PPG on 46.1% shooting from the field, 34.7% from three and 72.1% from the foul line while allowing 68.9 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field and 33.9% from three this season.

I get the case to be made for both sides here, but I’m leaning towards Louisiana Tech here. The Bulldogs are a solid team to begin with but to have a game-changer like Lofton Jr. on the team just makes the difference for LA Tech here, as I don’t think ODU will have an answer. On top of that, the Monarchs are a team that has offensive droughts a lot and I think this is a spot where LA Tech just pulls away over the course of the game as I don’t think the Monarchs keep up.
