The Oregon Ducks and the Washington State Cougars meet Saturday in college basketball action from Beasley Coliseum. Oregon is fresh off a Thursday game versus Washington. In that one the Ducks fell by 11 points. As for Washington State, they played Oregon State in their last game Thursday. The Cougars ended up taking a four-point win. Oregon had a nice 10-1 run going from December 21 to February 10, but things have gotten pretty choppy since then. The Ducks would hit a 2-4 run in their next six outings, taking losses to California, Arizona State, Arizona and USC in that time.

On Thursday versus Washington, the Ducks faced a 10-point deficit going into the second half. Oregon scored 45 from there but couldn’t catch up in a 78-67 loss. De’Vion Harmon put up 17 points, and Quincy Guerrier added 16 points with five rebounds.

Over on the Washington State side, they hit a 14-7 run through the first 21 games this year then lost five straight in February. The Cougars would then split a pair of games with Washington before bagging an OT win over Oregon State back on Monday.

In the rematch against Oregon State on Thursday, Washington State was all tied up at 32 by halftime. The Cougars hit 39 second-half points during a 71-67 victory. TJ Bamba topped the team scorers on 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Cougars are 0-4 ATS in their last four at home and 0-4 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win. Washington State is 0-4 ATS in the last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Ducks are 2-7 ATS in their last nine overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss. The over is 15-7-2 in Oregon’s last 24 overall.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Washington State here. The Cougars had a little trouble dispatching a not-so-good Oregon State team over the last two games, but they got the job done. Washington State’s recent 3-6 record doesn’t look great, but they’ve been competitive in most of those games. The last time these teams met up on February 14, the Ducks posted a 62-59 win at home. I’d imagine this matchup will look similar, and I think the Cougars are good enough for a cover.
