The Depaul Blue Demons and the UConn Huskies meet in college basketball action from the Gampel Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

The Depaul Blue Demons will look to build on a three-game win streak after a 91-80 win over Marquette last time out. Javon Freeman-Liberty leads DePaul in scoring, rebounding and assists with 21.9 PPG, 7.5 RPG and 3.1 APG while David Jones has 14.7 PPG with 7.4 RPG this season. Brandon Johnson has 10.4 PPG with 7 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for the Blue Demons. Nick Ongenda has 8.7 PPG with 4.1 RPG and Jalen Terry has 8.7 PPG and 3 APG as well this season. As a team, DePaul is averaging 73.5 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field, 31% from three and 69.6% from the foul line while allowing 71.4 PPG on 42.4% shooting from the field and 33.9% from three this season.

The UConn Huskies will try to bounce back from a 64-62 loss to Creighton last time out. R.J. Cole leads UConn in scoring with 16.2 PPG as well as in assists with 4.2 APG while Adama Sanogo has 14.8 PPG with a team-high 8.5 RPG. Tyrese Martin has 13.2 PPG and 7.3 RPG to make up the scoring in double figures for UConn so far this season while Isaiah Whaley and Tyler Polley have 7.7 PPG respectively. As a team, UConn is averaging 76.2 PPG on 43.9% shooting from the field, 35.6% from three and 74.8% from the foul line while allowing 65.6 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field and 34.3% from three this season.

Depaul is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Saturday games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win. UConn is 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 10-4 in their last 14 home games.

I get why you’d make a case for either side here, but I’m looking at the over in this one. We’ve seen the Blue Demons match pace with certain teams as of late and it’s resulted in three straight wins while UConn, despite being the better team, especially defensively, have had some high-scoring affairs as of late and I think this one ends up being a polar opposite of the first meeting that had just 107 points. Give me the over here.
